Proban®

Special product Proban®, created according to patented licensed technology by Rhodia company, is applied to the fabric and then the product penetrates into the fiber structure, giving it fire retardant qualities. Polymer embedded into the fiber base is inert, completely reluctant to dissolution, as well as to removal during washing, improves wear-resistance of cotton fabric!

Proban® technology has been used for over 60 years, and has been significantly improved during that time. Today the fire-resistant fabric manufacture uses the latest 5th generation Proban® improving the consumer and fire retardant qualities of the resulting products.

During manufacture of fire-resistant fabrics according to Proban® technology, a system of dual quality control is applied:

Stage 1 — internal quality control of fabrics by manufacturing company.

Stage 2 — product samples from each batch are sent to independent laboratory accredited by  UKAS (The United Kingdom Accreditation Service), where fire retardant qualitites of fabric after 50 super washes (at 75°С temperature) and dryings are tested  . Only after that the fabric receives an inspection certificate and set-in labels.

<Proban®  fire-resistant finishing  and materials processed by this technology have certificate of Oeko-Tex class 2: textile goods, most whose surface is in direct contact with the human skin. In the USA, Oeko-Tex class 2 means fabrics for children's slippers and linnen, that is fabrics processed according to Proban® technology are completely harmless to the human body, does not cause skin irritation and allergy.
